Notes: Karstified rocks present special challenges for both petroleum production and groundwater hydrology. This meeting brings together specialists from these and other fields, to share knowledge about issues of multiple permeabilities. The program promotes interchange of ideas by including talks, posters, discussions, and a full day field trip to the unique karst of the Black Hills.
Topics to be covered include: Karst origins and geometries; Burial, collapse, and porosity redistribution in paleokarst; Use of modern analogs to understand paleokarst reservoirs; Architectures and connectivity of carbonate petroleum reservoirs.

For accompanying person each half-day excursion costs 5 EUR and the whole-day excursion costs 10 EUR. Regular undergraduate students are free to attend, if they submit the school confirmation. The school is included into EU Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses. School participants can obtain a grant which covers travelling and accommodation expenses, and registration fee.
